Educators essential to success of Nashville’s children

After asking our son about his first day in third grade, Jonathan calmly stated, “My teacher really expects a lot from us.” As Metro Nashville Public Schools employees and the parents of two children in an MNPS school, we were elated.

As educators, we have high expectations for our children, and we hold ourselves personally and morally accountable to improve educational outcomes for our own children as well as the children we serve. We recognize and appreciate the hard work that is happening every day in classrooms across our city. We also know that there is room for improvement.
