Metro Public Schools Director Dr. Shawn Joseph heard from his transition team Tuesday about ways to improve student achievement in the district.
The team came up with more than 100 recommendations, following a November report. Joseph said more funding is needed to deliver on these.
“I think we need to look at the resources we currently have and we just need to find a way to prioritize those resources,” Joseph said. “A lot of it’s going to be shifting and re-purposing funds, but there will be a need to ask for additional dollars to really focus on key areas to move us forward.”
