Nashville wants residents to show their love for teachers

Nashville will light up pink and red Monday to kickoff a month-long event honoring educators in the city.

The lighting of the buildings marks the kickoff of the second annual “Show Your Love For Teachers” month, a celebration by the Nashville Public Education Foundation that offers discounts at more than 140 businesses and is the largest educator discount program in the southeast.

The month seeks to recognize and reward Nashville’s 6,800 public school educators, according to a news statement about the month.
