Nashville public education foundation head to leave for public affairs firm

The leader of the Nashville Public Education Foundation plans to step down to join a Nashville-based public affairs consulting firm.

Shannon Hunt, the foundation president and CEO, will join The Strategy Group as a partner late this fall, according to a news release. The public education foundation will launch a national search, led by Atlanta-based Parker Executive Search, for a new leader.

“Shannon has provided extraordinary leadership for the NPEF at a critical time for both the organization and the city,” said Wanda Lyle, NPEF board chairwoman, in a news release.
