49 Metro Nashville Public Schools teachers were honored on Monday at the Blue Ribbon Teacher Awards.
Launched in 2014, the awards aim to recognize top teaching talent in the district. Winners were chosen based on their excellence in literacy instruction, support of English Language, and teacher leadership.
Recipients of the awards join 192 previous winners honored as the city’s elite teachers. Each teacher also received $1,000 in cash from private donations.
