We know that great teachers are crucial for strong schools. That’s why we’ve partnered with Metro Schools and the Nashville’s Agenda Steering Committee to create the Blue Ribbon Teacher Award to honor exceptional teachers.
For the second year in a row, we the Nashville community has the opportunity to honor teachers that go above and beyond the call of duty with the Blue Ribbon Teacher award.
“Education is one of the most important issues facing our city,” said Tom Sherrard, Chairman of our board and the Nashville’s Agenda Steering Committee. “Teachers are at the heart of everything we do and every change we make. The Blue Ribbon Teacher award is a meaningful way to honor them, and to show others how their work has made an impact on Nashville students and Nashville as a whole.”
Metro Schools will be accepting nominations through February 20, 2015. All full-time teachers on the teacher salary are eligible, including all traditional, magnet, and charter school teachers. Nominate an outstanding educator today!
