Nashville will get a better look at three Metro Nashville Public Schools director candidates next week, setting up a possible board decision May 13 to fill the city’s top education job — a post that has been vacant for nearly a year.
The board’s decision Friday morning to narrow the candidate list to three capped a dramatic 14-hour period where two board members tried to introduce a seventh, female candidate and an interviewee dropped out of the running to replace retired Director of Schools Jesse Register.
