The Nashville Public Education Foundation is so thankful for the partnership with R.H. Boyd Publishing Corporation and Ladonna Boyd, who has donated hundreds of books to kick-start the efforts to get high-quality, diverse books into the hands of kids. In partnership with Book’em, we are working to collect thousands of books to serve high-needs neighborhoods. The goal is to have books available to kids everywhere they go – barber shops, grocery stores, restaurants, retail stores, laundromats, parks. Adding in this time for reading every day can totally change the trajectory for kids and Nashville, and is even more meaningful when children can see themselves represented in the stories they are reading.
