Last Saturday’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon offers many lessons for Nashville School Board members as they seek to hire a permanent director in the course of 12 days.
The winding, hilly path can be treacherous to novices and experienced runners alike. Exhaustion, poor conditions and a lapse in focus can make the difference between reaching the finish line and getting the medal and failing to complete the race and ending up empty-handed.
