Leadership Public Education cohort members build their knowledge and networks to become strong public schools advocates.
Leadership Public Education cohort members will learn from experts about the opportunities and challenges that impact Metro Nashville Public Schools and engage in critical discussions about public education. No previous experience in education is required.
Topics include:
Public school funding and budget process
Education policy, law, and equity
Teacher and principal talent pipelines
Postsecondary outcomes and perspectives
Leadership roles for community members
Participants attend monthly meetings January through June 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost for participants is $500.
The Leadership Public Education 2026 Cohort application is open now! This year's meetings will take place January 23, February 20, March 20, April 17, May 8, and June 13.
