A leader at a New York City nonprofit has been named as Metro Nashville Public Schools’ chief of staff — the last position to be filled in new Director of Schools Shawn Joseph‘s executive Cabinet.
Jana Carlisle, who is the NYC Leadership Academy’s chief strategy officer, will join Metro Schools on Sept. 15, according to a Nashville schools news release. The nonprofit supports school systems to help develop leaders.
The release also states Carlisle will work to bridge existing community initiatives, such as Project RESET from the Nashville Public Education Foundation.
