Thomas Edison Elementary put together this awesome music video – created by students – celebrating their love of reading and the power of a good book to transport you anywhere in your imagination. This is a great example of a school working hard to make reading fun and engaging, and is a fun idea for schools, after-care programs, summer camps and others to help kids and families get the message out about reading.
The music video features the song “Readers Are Leaders,” written and performed by Thomas Edison Elementary students in the Music Video Production Team, led by Christopher Blackmon, the school’s music teacher. The team worked together to write, shoot and edit the video with help from a local video production service and other community partners and individuals. The video speaks for itself, so check it out now! It is very well-done, and the song will be stuck in your head for weeks!
