Samuel Kallaos, pre-K through fourth-grade music teacher at Ruby Major Elementary School, has fulfilled his dreams of being a drummer, a family man and an educator.
After deciding to leave the road as a professional musician, he embarked on a career at MNPS that had him previously teaching at Thomas Edison Elementary School and Neely’s Bend Middle School.
He holds a bachelor of science degree in music education from Southwest Missouri State University, and he has been recognized as the 2016-17 Ruby Major Teacher of the Year and a 2016 Grammy National Teacher of the Year quarter-finalist.
